Aug 18: That "anyone with the link" Google Doc can end up in Google Search

Malwarebytes warned on August 18 that Google Docs and Drive files shared with "anyone with the link" can be indexed by Google Search — a company just discovered a doc full of its login credentials sitting in search results, surfacing even through Google's autocomplete. In another case, a firm left a Drive set to link-sharing for years and exposed 1,369 files and personal data for 935,779 people, and one scan of millions of Drive files found 40.2% contained sensitive information. Families share school forms, medical paperwork, and custody documents exactly this way every day.
